The Bright Foundation, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by brain injuries, recently participated in the prestigious Benelux Chamber Grand Gala. The Gala brought together prominent industry leaders, philanthropists, and policymakers to celebrate innovation and charitable efforts across the Benelux region.
Through its participation, the Bright Foundation was able to raise crucial awareness about the pressing need for comprehensive brain injury advocacy, outreach, and BI research, not only across the Benelux region but throughout Europe.
The Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting individuals affected by a range of conditions, including Cerebral Palsy (CP), stroke, spinal cord injuries (SCI), and traumatic brain injuries (TBI)—all of which profoundly impact millions of individuals and their families across Europe.

“We were honored to be part of the Benelux Chamber Grand Gala and to engage with such a diverse and passionate group of leaders,” said Matt Palaszynski, Founder & Executive Director of the Bright Foundation. “Brain injuries—whether from trauma, stroke, or congenital conditions like Cerebral Palsy—can have lifelong effects. Our goal is to continue driving advocacy, raise awareness about these conditions, and push for stronger support systems across Europe. The Gala provided an excellent platform to expand our reach, engage in meaningful dialogue, and advocate for policies that better support individuals with brain injuries, including those with Cerebral Palsy, TBI, and SCI.”
Cerebral Palsy, a neurological disorder that affects movement and muscle coordination, is a key focus area for the Bright Foundation. Although often diagnosed in childhood, the lifelong effects of CP, including challenges in motor skills, speech, and daily functioning, present unique challenges. The Foundation works to ensure better care, more research, and improved treatment options for individuals living with CP, while also addressing the broader issues surrounding stroke, SCI, and TBI. All of these conditions require specialized care, rehabilitation, and long-term support systems to help individuals regain independence and improve quality of life.

During the Gala, the Bright Foundation engaged with a variety of stakeholders to discuss the latest advancements in brain injury care, rehabilitation, and policy reform. Conversations centered on improving access to care for people living with these conditions, advocating for increased research funding, and fostering collaborative partnerships that can drive positive change across the region.
“The event was an invaluable opportunity to raise awareness and push forward conversations about healthcare innovation, brain injury recovery, and rehabilitation, particularly for people with conditions such as stroke, SCI, and TBI,” added Matt Palaszynski. “We are committed to ensuring that individuals affected by these conditions—whether through injury, illness, or birth-related factors—receive the care and resources they deserve.”
The Benelux Chamber Grand Gala provided an important opportunity for the Bright Foundation to connect with other organizations and leaders who share a commitment to advancing healthcare, rehabilitation, and brain injury advocacy in Europe. As the demand for innovative treatments and support systems continues to grow, the Foundation remains dedicated to pushing for policies that improve the lives of those living with Cerebral Palsy, stroke, SCI, TBI, and other forms of brain injury.
